Antonio "Tony" Rodriguez is a highly respected leader at the Port of Brownsville, where he has played a crucial role since joining in 1992. As the Director of Cargo Services and FTZ Administrator, Tony has been responsible for overseeing sales, forecasting, and cultivating strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, all aimed at maximizing the port’s cargo movements. His focus on business development spans regions in the United States, Mexico, and both Central and South America. He has been a key figure in promoting the port’s capabilities and fostering international trade between the U.S. and Mexico.
Tony's work as FTZ Administrator for FTZ No. 62 also includes critical interactions with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Foreign Trade Zone Board. His involvement in trade organizations such as IRPT and NAFTZ, along with his leadership in local chambers and committees, highlights his broad influence. He has served in various leadership roles, including as past chair of the Brownsville Retention and Expansion Committee and immediate past chairman of the Board of Directors of the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce.
